Two offenders have been caught snaffling scrap metal from skips.
The Environment Agency has fired a warning shot to anyone transporting such content without the necessary licenses.
Steven Haim was fined £2,500 plus £400 in costs, while Alan Lee was handed a £2,000 slap on the wrists, plus £1,225 in costs.
The two breached the Control of Pollution Act 1989 by failing to register as waste carriers.
You see, responsible skip hire is the way forward!
