A primary school in Ely, Cambridgeshire has become one of the first schools to sign up to a new recycling challenge.
Lantern Community Primary School is taking part in the Skips for Schools Programme in a bid to promote the importance of recycling.
By taking part, schools are donated skips for a week which allows pupils, their families and staff to dispose of paper and metal-based recyclable waste correctly.
The skips will then be taken away, the contents recycled and then turned it into cash, with the school receiving a share of the money generated.
The challenge also involves a ‘design a skip’ art competition for children.
